Celebrating New Year Dutch Style
New Year’s Eve 2017 has found us celebrating in style with family and friends in Holland.
It’s been some years since we were in the Netherlands for New Year and I’d quite forgotten how utterly mad they all are when it comes to new year fireworks!
You only have to walk out of your front door into the street of any village, town or city to find yourself in a cacophony of sound and a blaze of fireworks all being let off at the same time in any and all directions at once. From horizon to horizon every street and skyline is a sea of exploding fire and you’re right in the middle of it. It’s totally mad and completely overwhelming !!! And I love it !!!
