New Year ….. new gadget
Woohoooo !!! …. finally got my brand spanking new iPhone unlocked. I bought it in London back in October before flying off to the PDC in LA. At that point the boys in the iphone-devteam had only a partial solution to unlocking it, so I was stuck with a very sexy looking PDA & iPod but no phone(unless of course I wanted to pay for extotionate roaming charges). On New Years Eve they released a beta called yellowsn0w to unlock the latest baseband (ie bang up to date with v2.2) … something we didn’t expect.
After some mixed results it looks like 0.9.6 beta is fully working (well for me anyway) …..So a big thanks & well done to them.
